Information About the Club

Ramsey Hockey Club is a community based Club serving Ramsey and the North of the Isle of Man. Established in 1932, we are committed to providing hockey to junior, senior and veteran players, enabling all people to play or participate at the level they want to. Whilst enjoying an ever growing membership in recent years, the Club has a strong family feel, with parents of junior members involved in helping both pitch-side and in the running of social and fundraising events. In 2010 in recognition of the safe and progressive manner in which the Club was running, we were the first Club on the Island to be awarded England Hockey ClubsFirst recognition. The Clubs commitment to young players is evidenced by a number of members being invited to attend North England training camps and being selected to represent the region. On Island, Ramsey Hockey Club is well represented in the Single System Development scheme. A further strength of the Club is the solid bases of more experienced players in the club to compliment the younger members and a team with players from 15 years to 50 years is not uncommon. This leads well to our social side where events are organised for all members and their families at various times throughout the year.

How to Find Us

Our training ground is situated at the Astro Pitch of Ramsey Grammar School which is near the sports hall side in the East Wing of the School. Just turn up at a training session for your age group and talk to any of our coaches, and enjoy your Hockey with Ramsey Hockey Club.
